The SPIDER system is an innovative solution for a micro-invasive kyphoplasty and vertebroplasty surgical procedure.
The Spider system represents a simple and effective approach in reducing vertebral partitioning by generating a cavity within the vertebral body. This cavity optimizes the volume inside the vertebral body and allows for a simple bone cement injection. Mechanically opening the expander applies gradual pressure to the vertebral body creating the desired cavity and reducing the fracture. Thus, permitting the use of the VCF system in cases of osteolytic tumors, such as multiple myeoloma, hemoangioma, and spinal metastasis.
