The Osteo-tec Absorbable Pin has been developed for hand and foot surgery needs. Indications are phalangeal proximal or distal osteotomies and metatarso phalangeal arthrodesis.

Evolution of device mechanical properties, in harmony with osteogenesis phenomenon, the loss of 50% resistance at +/- 6 months allows a progressive transfer of stresses from device to bone.
