The BioFix Regenerative Biologics products are biologic allografts derived from human placental tissue and provide a wound covering and tissue matrix for surgical wounds and tissue defects. The BioFix Allograft Membrane and BioFix Allograft Flow contain a viable protein matrix derived from amniotic tissues. This protein matrix contains fibrous collagen proteins that provide a structural scaffold to support cell migration and attachment, growth factors that promote cell proliferation, as well as hyaluronic acid, fibronectin, laminins, and other proteins that assist in controlling inflammation, pain and cellular attachment across the defect. The amniotic tissue matrix has been shown to modulate correct tissue repair versus scar tissue formation, leading to improved outcomes and reducing failure or complications.Previously available from MetaSurg.
