The Duo System is the next generation in lateral interbody fusion systems. The system is designed to minimize the amount and duration of retraction on the neural structures and surrounding soft tissues, both of which have been implicated in the post-operative complications commonly associated with the lateral approach.
The Duo Implant is the first of its kind. By combining PEEK, titanium, and graft containment mesh elements the implant can be placed through a much smaller access window than traditional lateral devices. Once placed, the Duo Implant is filled with bone graft in situ to create a large, endplate-conforming, load-sharing graft pack that can reach up to 30mm in width.
