- For fixation of long bones in the diaphysis, metaphysis, and epiphysis where enough intact bone for adequate purchase remains
- Inserted percutaneously using a dedicated insertion tool
- Cancellous-style threads at tip only to allow natural settling, impaction of fracture
- Smooth shaft to allow natural impaction without penetration of implant into joint
- Proximal ends of rods can be left long enough to access for explantation
- One-piece construction
- Supplied in packs of three pins plus insertion tool
