The SMILES Knee system comprises three knee types: Superstabilser Knee; Suitable for the unstable knee due to previous failure of total knee arthroplasty combined with reduced collateral support. Rotating Hinge Knee; Effective for the revision of primary knee replacements where serious bone loss and/or knee instability is present. Fixed Hinge Knee; ideal for those situations where there is gross bone loss and knee instability. This knee hinge provides a rapid and cost effective solution for those difficult knee salvage situations. Previously available from Stanmore Implants.
