The SIU Medical Library's primary users are the faculty, students, staff, and resident physicians of the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. Other users with reciprocal borrowing privileges include St. John's Hospital and Memorial Medical Center staff and students, Illinois Library Computer Systems Organization members, and authorized patrons of selected college and university libraries that maintain reciprocal on-site borrowing privileges with SIU Medical Library. The Medical Library also serves as a state and regional resource through the provision of documents and selected reference and outreach services.
