The American Academy of Expert Medical Evaluators (AAEME) helps doctors specialize in providing expert medical evaluations for Impairment Ratings. Over 41 states require that the AMA Guides be used in the final report for workers compensation. The Federal Government requires the use of the 6th as well as Longshoreman Act and many countries across the globe such as Australia, New Zealand, Canada, The Netherlands, Germany, Italy and more. With the advent of global industry, the AMA Guides has become the standard by which most insurance companies and countries use in the final outcome of cases.
Education is only one avenue to help the doctors attain expertise in this area. The second and more conclusive process is through IR testing and certification to substantiate the doctors understanding and competence in the use of the AMA Guides.
