About American Association for Hand Surgery / AAHS
The AAHS membership of over 1100 represents a diverse but cohesive mixture of highly respected professionals who work in all disciplines related to hand surgery. The members include orthopedic surgeons, plastic surgeons, general surgeons, microsurgeons, hand therapists, nurses, and basic scientists from the United States and Canada, as well as many other countries around the world. The diversity of AAHS membership fosters improved communication and sharing of ideas between health care professionals.
The AAHS has high standards of excellence for its membership, and election to membership is based upon training, board certification, scientific and professional accomplishment, and the degree of active interest and experience in the disciplines related to hand surgery.
