About APEX K1™ Stem (Prod 9713)
Inspired by the clinically proven design philosophy of a dual tapered stem geometry, the APEX K1™ stem is engineered to provide immediate primary fixation and torsional stability. The K1 is unique in combining the aggressive profile of a rectangular distal cross section with a circumferentially coated proximal body to help prevent migration of potentially lytic particles. The APEX K1 stem represents a proven clinical design with an enhanced metaphyseal geometry and surface properties. The geometry of the K1 stem body is identical to its sister product, the K2 Modular Stem. As a result, the surgeon can switch from the K1 to K2 Modular intraoperatively, without further bone preparation, should patient anatomy dictate a need for independent selection of lateral offset, vertical height or version.
