The AVAmax® PLUS advanced vertebral augmentation system from CareFusion brings true innovation to bone cement preparation, injection and controlled cement placement. You prepare bone cement directly in the barrel with preloaded radiopaque PMMA powder. A fully enclosed glass monomer ampoule reduces your exposure to fumes and sharps, helping reduce odors and enhancing safety. Automated mixing cycle eliminates stirring and shaking. Two-stage threaded plunger on the injector provides rapid air purging for cement priming at the start of the procedure. Ergonomically designed injector gives you tactile feedback with every turn, for more comfortable operation. Unique coaxial cement tube reduces chance of cement bolus at procedure start and leaves a clean cannula at procedure end.
