Bristol BioMed Learning and Teaching project (BB-LT)

About Bristol BioMed Learning and Teaching project (BB-LT)

A learning and teaching resource building on the successful Bristol Biomedical Image Archive. The aim of BB-LT is to encourage and support the use of digital images within the biomedical learning and teaching domain, highlighting the range of ways in which Bristol BioMed images can be used. The resource includes a range of practical examples of image-based learning and teaching materials, making it simple for potential users to incorporate these uses with their own teaching practices. Subject specialists who have donated images to Bristol BioMed have produced case studies drawing on their experiences of using the images to create tutorials. The resulting tutorials and case studies are freely available for users to consult and download. A series of 'How-to' guides to using Bristol BioMed images is also available. Guides focus on particular aspects of image use such as searching for and downloading images, using images in PowerPoint and creating digital images from slides. These resources will form the basis of a growing suite of learning and teaching materials to be housed at the BB-LT site.
