The CastCooler keeps your cast fresh and reduces itch by removing moisture from the lining under your cast. Simply wrap the CastCooler around your cast daily, and connect a standard household vacuum. After 10 minutes, moisture is removed. Without moisture, bacteria growth (the cause of odor and itch) is reduced. Your cast stays fresh! The CastCooler accommodates all limb sizes and shapes by conforming to irregularities and sealing against the cast. The wrap surrounds the cast and overlaps to cling onto itself. Without touching your skin, bacteria, itch and odor are significantly reduced, and the cast stays fresh. The United States Patent and Trademark Office has awarded US Patent #7,497,838 in addition to US Patent #7,229,425 for the CastCooler. The CastCooler is designed to be used with all breathable (fiberglass) orthopedic casts.
