This adaptation of the Dr. M employs the exclusive elastic dogbone strap. Designed to apply specific pressure over the lateral and medial menisci. This pressure over the felt horseshoe buttress also provides a positive track for problem patella tracking. Elastic dogbone straps attach above and below the patella opening with the aid of hook-and-loop fasteners, without interfering with normal patella tracking. The two standard straps provide a secure locking of the elastic straps while providing a customized fit.
