DuraSeal (Prod 4160)

About DuraSeal (Prod 4160)

Duraseal is a resorbable polymer gel designed, along with sutures, to close small gaps in the dura mater after an incision and prevent spinal fluid from leaking. A blue dye has been added to DuraSeal, which allows for improved visualization. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved DuraSeal™ spine sealant for use in the United States. This is the first product that has been approved specifically as an adjunct to suturing for intra-operative dural sealing in spine procedures. Previously available from Covidien plc.
