The macrostructure of the FUSE surface serves two purposes for the healing-in of the cage. On the one hand, it complements the bioactive properties of the pure titanium and stimulates the proliferation of the osteoblasts and the integration of the osteocytes. On the other hand, it ensures the high primary stability of the FUSE in conjunction with the anatomical cage design.
