The Flexicore® Lumbar Intervertebral Disc Replacement is intended to replace a degenerated disc in the lumbar spine, permit motion of the treated segment, improve function, and reduce back pain associated with degenerative disc disease. The safety and effectiveness of the FlexiCore® disc for these purposes will be evaluated in a United States clinical trial through an Investigational Device Exemption (IDE) granted by the Food & Drug Administration (FDA).
