About GLADIATOR Bipolar Acetabular System (Prod 8033)
GLADIATOR Bipolar Acetabular System is a bipolar hip implant design that features a unique cross-linked polyethylene bearing surface with an enhanced lock detail. Historical concerns with traditional bipolar designs have included loosening of the insert, disassociation of the head from the shell, and osteolysis resulting from polyethylene wear. The GLADIATOR System's cross-linked polyethylene bearing surface and increased lock detail strength are intended to address these concerns to give surgeons greater confidence when using a bipolar implant. The GLADIATOR Bipolar System is also compatible with the extensive line of PROFEMUR hip stems.
