Interferential Stimulation is primarily used to manage deep chronic pain. Interferential Units use current having a very high pulse rate. This higher frequency penetrates the skin and muscle better than TENS or other modalities, and thus can be more effective in pain control. Interferential Devices provides more analgesic, or nerve blocking effect. Because of the high frequency, these devices will require a lot of power and batteries will not last long.
