The PerfectTemp™ warming system is permanently placed on the operating table where it's alwaysavailable and ready to fight hypothermia. A timer activates the pad in the morning before the surgery schedule begins and turns off at the end of the day - all automatically. A heating element sandwiched between the foam layers warms patients on contact with the pad surface. Heat is gently transferred to the patient conductively - the most efficient method of heat transfer. Temperature is continuously monitored at the interface between the pad and patient's skin. Plus the system utilizes advanced spaceage foam designed for pressure reduction. It's lightweight, durable and easy to clean. And it's radio translucent so it won't interfere with X-rays.
