About Large Bone Saw Blades
The large bone saw blade is a Class I medical device used for orthopedic procedures such as knee and hip implant surgery. The blade is manufactured from the highest quality surgical stainless steel and machined to exacting tolerances. The blade teeth are treated with Durium™ to enhance the blade performance. The Durium™ material is very hard, lubricious, inert, and wear resistant. These properties combine for improved cutting performance. Every blade is identified with its own unique serial number to allow for product traceability down to the individual unit. The blade is also easily distinguished from common blades by the "golden edge".
