System captures simultaneous frontal and lateral head-to-toe images of patients in the upright, weight bearing position.
This technology uses two perpendicular X-ray beams collimated in two very thin, horizontal, fan-shaped beams and two Nobel Prize winning technology detectors.
Fan-beam x-rays and detectors are mounted on a C-arm and scan all or part of the patient’s body. This allows for frontal and lateral X-rays of a patient to be carried out simultaneously. Two variable gain detectors detect line by line an extremely high contrast digital radiograph, while the dose administered to the patient does not exceed a dose equivalent to the exposure that results from a few transatlantic flights.
