Polybutester Elasticity and Static Creep Resistance: Elongates elastically under load or tension when wound edema occurs and returns to its original form when edema recedes. Polybutester Hydrophobicity: Suture is not affected by hydrolysis and therefore is less likely to adhere to tissue during re-operative procedures.
