About OPES Small Joint Ablation Probes and Ball Electrode
The OPES Small Joint Ablation Probes and Ball Electrodes provide controlled tissue removal, coagulation and hemostasis during arthroscopic procedures of the elbow, wrist and ankle. They are configured to function optimally when used in conjunction with the OPES Electrosurgical System Generator, but are compatible with existing electrosurgical generators with 3-pin monopolar connection ports. The Small Joint Ablation Probes, with their small diameter shafts, 2 mm active electrodes and 45 degree or 90 degree angle necks provide improved surgical visualization, manipulation and approach when precise and rapid tissue removal is required. They are ideal for small joint procedures such as Triangular Fibrocartilage Complex (TFCC) debridement of the wrist, as well as fracture debridement and scar tissue removal of the elbow, wrist and ankle.
