The orthopedics and biomaterials lab offers comprehensive study protocols utilizing appropriate surgical models in order to test orthopaedic medical devices from the proof of concept to regulatory submission.
The imaging team monitors the biofunctionality and efficacy of the medical device. Imaging modalities include:
- Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
- High-definition radiography (Faxitron)
- Micro computed tomography (micro CT)
State-of-the-art image analysis software can also quantify of a variety of parameters and provide clients with 3-D reconstructions.
