About Orthopaedic Implant Clamp (Prod 4052)
The patent is pending for this clamping device for cement pressurization during total knee replacement (TKR) surgery. The clamp provides a large initial pressure with consistent force over time, thereby reducing undulation of the cemented surface, which can lead to weak fracture planes in the cement. The device is fully autoclavable, or alternatively could be made disposable using hardened plastics to reduce risks associated with improper sterilization techniques.
