About OsteoSponge (Prod 6591)
OsteoSponge® is a cancellous form of DBM made from 100% bone, able to absorb its weight in fluid, and when hydrated, expands 20 to 30 percent in size. The porous, open-structured surface exposes active bone-forming proteins to circulating blood, bone marrow aspirate and other morphogenic proteins. OsteoSpongeÕs malleable properties enable it to conform to, and fill, any conceivable void; when deformed by compression, tension or torsion, it springs back to completely fill the void without losing its original strength.
