About PASTAFx Sliding Suture Anchor System
The PASTAFx Sliding Suture Anchor System can simplify a Partial Articular Surface Tendon Avulsion (PASTA) repair given its ability to address the repair via a percutaneous transtendon approach. The transtendon technique allows for precise implant placement just lateral to the articular cartilage. The Nail Bone Anchor offers 10 mm of fixation beneath the cortical layer of the humeral head while entering the tendon through an opening just over twice the diameter of an 18 gauge spinal needle. Passage can be done in one step rather than multiple passes through the tendon. There is no pre drilling or tapping required.
