About PEEK Tenodesis Screw
The PEEK Tenodesis Screw is made with PEEK (Polyetheretherketone), an Invibio product, which is an advanced nonabsorbable material. This inert, non-reactive thermoplastic material shares key characteristics and benefits of both metal alloy and bioabsorbable materials. It is a metal alloy screw alternative for tendon or ligament to bone attachment in soft tissue reconstruction procedures. The PEEK Tenodesis screw is 5.5 mm in outer diameter by 8 mm in length. It is fully threaded with a flat head that optimizes cortical and cancellous bone fixation. This anchor is an alternative to metal tenodesis screws for Acromioclavicular Joint reconstruction procedures using tendon graft, as well as soft tissue reconstructive procedures in the elbow.
