About ReWalk™ Personal System
ReWalk™ Personal System for home and community use. The ReWalk device is a custom-fit, wearable robotic exoskeleton that provides powered hip and knee motion to enable individuals with lower body paralysis (paraplegia), caused by Spinal Cord Injury (SCI), to stand upright and walk with assistance from a trained companion, such as a spouse or home health aide.
This is the first motorized device intended to act as an exoskeleton to receive marketing clearance from the FDA. ReWalk allows independent, controlled walking while mimicking the natural gait patterns of the legs, similar to that of an able-bodied person, through the integration of a wearable brace support, a computer-based control system and motion sensors.
