About Sternal Cable System
The Sternal Cable System is indicated for closure of median sternotomies. The system consists of multi-strand cable which is tensioned and then secured using a unique tensioner/crimper instrument. The cable is smooth and very flexible, which makes insertion and removal easier than traditional wire. Its standard ‘figure-8’ construct secures the sternum in all planes of motion providing a more robust closure.
