Surgetics Navigation System

About Surgetics Navigation System

Allows the surgeon to view the position of surgical instruments in real-time and in 3D. The localization system is infrared (two cameras which emit infrared signals and receive those sent by the retro reflective markers on the references that are fixed to the surgeon's tools). An optically-based system of localization is the best choice due to the submillimetric precision and reliability that it offers. 0ptical location is "passive," which means it requires no complicated wire link between the system and the surgical tools.
