This Wound Irrigation System is a sterile saline squeeze bottle with four jet ports and a 7cm. splashguard. It produces the ACEP- recommended pressures of 7-8 psi and discharges 450 mL of sterile saline in an average of 23 seconds. Our closed system with splashguard offers superb biohazard protection for your staff and patients, and also eliminates the droplet and aerosol contamination typical of high pressure irrigation. It can address several of the MRSA control interventions recommended by the CDC: judicious antibiotic use, standard/contact precautions and environmental measures. It is fast, effective and safer than existing piston-syringe and other single-port irrigation methods. Available in clean (ED) and sterile (OR) versions.
